First Steps to Foster or Adopt

There are almost 700 children in foster care in Mobile and Baldwin County
and approximately 200 foster homes.
We need you!
Are you interested in become a foster or adoptive parent?


Here are a few suggestions as you begin your journey.

1. Talk with friends, family, and other foster and adoptive families. Begin now to build up your support network.
2. Learn about the Minimum Standards to become a foster parent or to adopt from foster care.
3. Discover the different agencies that license foster and adoptive families.
